Electronics distributor TTI, Inc. has acquired Ray-Q Interconnect, which provides electrical interconnect solutions to military, aerospace and other high-reliability product industries in Israel, Turkey, Eastern and Central Europe and India.
“It’s not often a company has the opportunity to add such longevity and superior technical value to their service offering. I am very pleased to be bringing the wiring and harness assembly expertise of Ray-Q to the TTI teams in Europe and Asia – and to the benefit of our customers worldwide,” Gene Conahan, president of TTI Europe and Asia, said in announcing the purchase.
Ray-Q was founded in 1969. The company has 70 employees and serves the world’s major defense contractors. Chief Executive Officer Yigal Funt will continue to lead the organization, reporting to Conahan.
The Ray-Q acquisition follows two key purchases by TTI last year. In March 2012, TTI announced its acquisition of Massachusetts-based electronics distributor Sager Electronics, followed in May by the acquisition of United Kingdom-based Campbell Collins, a specialty distributor of power-related products.
