Researcher includes Avnet, Premier Farnell on 2014 list of World’s Most Ethical Companies

Ethisphere Institute, an independent research center, recently recognized five electronics industry firms as some of the world’s most ethical companies for 2014. Electronic components distributors Avnet, Inc. and Premier Farnell plc were listed alongside Applied Materials, Rockwell Automation, and Texas Instruments as firms that raise the bar on ethical leadership and corporate behavior.

Avnet is a first-time recipient of the honor. Along with the other honorees, the distributor is being honored for understanding the relationship between ethics, reputation, and daily interactions with its brand.

Avnet CEO Rick Hamada commented on the achievement: “Integrity is not just included in Avnet’s core value, it is our number one core value. The recognition from the Ethisphere Institute validates what our employees around the world demonstrate ever day—that integrity matters and is a critical part of what makes Avnet a truly premier global business partner, employer and leader.”
