Raspberry Pi Foundation Launches IoT-Enabled Pi 3 Model B

The newest Raspberry Pi is fourth model since the launch of the credit-card-sized programming computer in 2012; features IoT functionality and faster speed.
Marking the fourth birthday of the Raspberry Pi computer, the Raspberry Pi Foundation announced the availability of the fourth model of its affordably priced, credit-card sized programming computer on February 29. Still available for $35, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B is designed for educational, hobbyist, and professional pursuits. To date, the Foundation and its distributors have shipped more than 8 million units of Raspberry Pi globally.
Features of the new board include:
IoT-enabled: The Pi 3 is the first out-of-the-box IoT-ready Raspberry Pi with built-in wireless and Bluetooth connectivity.
Increased speed: A new processing chip enables the new board to perform 350Mhz faster than previous editions.
Better processor: The board is built on a new QUAD Core Broadcom BCM2837 64bit ARMv8 processor running at 1.25GHz.
The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a registered educational charity in the United Kingdom. Its goal is to advance the educational of adults and children, particularly in the field of computers, computer science, and related subjects.
