Supply chain organizations in this year’s Top 25 were notable for better protecting growth rates in a challenging operating environment, while at the same time delivering more sustainable operations.
Attacks on ships in the Red Sea have been impacting ocean carriers and are now causing some congestion at key ports in countries like Singapore, where congestion is at its worst since the COVID-19 pandemic.
A new report, titled “The Power of IE&D in the Supply Chain: Unlocking Resilience and Growth,” takes an in-depth look at the correlation between IE&D effectiveness and supply chain departments. While another report, titled “Supply Chain Diversification,” states that companies that take a proactive approach in their diversification efforts will stand the best odds of reaching their supply chain resiliency goals.
MIT’s Center for Transportation & Logistics commissioned a new research lab, which will examine several research streams that may lead to new state-of-the-art approaches to address some of the industry’s most complex challenges.
