When electronics industry professionals meet for Electronica 2014 in Munich next month, cyber security will take center stage as show organizers aim to address rising concerns in the age of The Internet of Things.
Exhibitors will showcase the latest cyber security solutions all week at Electronica, which runs November 11-14, but show organizers have also planned a series of seminars addressing the topic. A CEO roundtable on the first day of the event will address “Internet of Things: Possibilities, Challenges, and the Question of Security,” featuring speakers from STMicroelectronics, NXP, Freescale, and Infineon. Other sessions throughout the week will address security concerns for networked companies, wearable technology and the smart home, and rising issues surrounding security in “connected” cars.
The driving force behind the sessions is the semiconductor industry’s key role in the success of the Internet of Things.
“Its products and solutions are helping to ensure that the processes run as quickly, smoothly, and reliably as possible,” Electronica officials said in announcing the slate of seminars in late September.
Electronica 2014 is the 26th International Trade Fair for Electronic Components, Systems, and Applications. For more information, visit the Electronica 2014 website.
