Two of the industry’s top electronic components distributors announced personnel changes recently.
Texas-based TTI, Inc., announced April 1 the promotion of Paula Renfrow from director of marketing for North America to vice president, marketing, North America. Renfrow joined TTI in December 2011 and has developed the distributor’s marketing, communications, and public relations efforts into applied marketing activities such as customer segmentation and “white space” marketing, areas that are a growing part of her focus, according to Michael Knight, senior vice president, TTI Americas.
“Paula has revamped and expanded our marketing program, built a great team, introduced countless new sales tools, re-energized our supplier co-op marketing program, and evolved our highly awarded and recognized corporate branding campaign, which is built around The Specialist,” Knight said in a statement announcing the promotion. “In addition to her duties at TTI, she also is actively involved with our industry association, ECIA—Electronic Component Industry Association, where she was a pioneer on the marketing council for which she is now the chairperson.”
Renfrow’s promotion follows a management restructure at TTI announced in late February. Effective April 1, Mike Morton, president, TTI Americas, was named senior vice president and president TTI Global Sales and Marketing, reporting directly to Paul Andrews, CEO. Morton will continue serving in his current position as president of TTI Americas until later in the year.
In Europe, Asia and Israel, TTI made the following changes: Glyn Dennehy moves into the position of president, EMEA. In Asia, Anthony Chan has been promoted to president, Asia Pacific, and Yigal Funk was named president TTI Israel. These global positions will report directly to Morton.
The organizational restructure also names Don Akery to the position of senior vice president, TTI Global Business Operations. He will have global responsibility for providing strategic direction, leadership, and management for all warehousing and logistics operations, along with total quality and continuous improvement operations. Akery also will directly lead the newly announced Global TTI Supply Services (TSS) Division.
Specialty distributor RFMW also announce management changes this month. The company promoted Josh Levine to the position of director of operations—sales and product management. Levine has served in sales and product management roles for the last nine years and will now oversee the coordination of RFMW’s worldwide sales operations and worldwide product management activities.
RFMW also announced that Mark Millhollin has joined the company as supplier business manager. He is responsible for developing and implementing strategic business plans for various suppliers on the RFMW line card, according to the company. Prior to joining RFMW, Millhollin worked in corporate supplier management for Arrow/Richardson RFPD, was director of supplier management at Avnet, Americas, and served as sales manager at M/A-COM Eurotech.
