As part of an ongoing effort to enhance its online offering and engage the engineering community, Mouser Electronics’ latest Empowering Innovation Together video series hit a new milestone with audiences this month. The distributor’s Project Heroes video series, in conjunction with Marvel Entertainment and celebrity engineer Grant Imahara, garnered more than 1.3 million views on YouTube this month, the company said.
The videos are designed to educate and entertain future engineers and fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and are part of the larger educational effort, Empowering Innovation Together. The current series follows Imahara and video celebrity Allen Pan as they create working versions of Captain America’s shield and Iron Man’s famous gauntlet.
“Seeing so many people connect with this video series is exactly what drives us to keep innovating and have a meaningful connection to engineers throughout the world,” Kevin Hess, Mouser Electronics’ senior vice president of marketing, said in announcing the milestone. “Our customers are truly inspired seeing that Mouser Electronics gives even the most imaginative ideas a possibility to come to life.”

In related online news, Mouser also announced the launch of a new Timing Technology website, designed to provide engineers information on the latest technical advances in timers, counters, and clocks. The site is part of an existing arsenal of Applications & Technologies sites that offer articles, videos, and other resources along with access to components for use in timing-related projects.
